Sally and Scott's wedding, Holy Trinity Church Ossett & Wentbridge House

As I write Sally is about to pick up her completed wedding album, she tells me they had a difficult job in selecting the final choice of photos, but at least they do have all of them in their pre view album. Sally's day started chilly and breezy which is not ideal for keeping hats on and skirts down. Photos started at Sallly's mother's house and she was smiling from the first time she saw my Canon. A bit of wind and showers was of no concern to Sally. Shots complete and off to Holy Trinity Church in Ossett to see Scott, Best man etc. Had a quick word with vicar to see about taking some group shots inside as wind was blowing worse, which was ok, and Iam glad I did, she looks great on the red carpet. The vicar likes you taking shots from the back but with the long lens on you can get in really close. A few group shots, Sally had not asked for loads, confetti outside of which there was loads and looked really good especially with some in black and white. Next off to Wentbridge House for big group shot and some kissy ones, room shots, and cake cutting.Dance shots at night by now weather had calmed down and moon was out to to do some really classy night shots

Claire and Michael's Wedding, St Pauls Church Barnsley & Burntwood Court Hotel

Photo's from Claire's home to start the day, and what a bright sunny day it is too.Now sunny days can cause a few exposure problems but I won,t bore you with all that.

Claire's ready when I arrive so we shoot as bridesmaids help, and as she puts a bit of lippy on,some group shots and then on to St Pauls Church Barnsley. Ive been doing weddings for years and yet it is my first at this church, with another later this year. What a lovely church it is too!,vicars brilliant also. Michael and best man are just arriving, with ushers so a nice walking shot is first. Claire arrives with her dad and then in to church. Very pretty inside looks great on shots. Outside a few groups, confetti, plus nice car shots and then on to Burtwood Court Hotel for rest of groups, posed, and casual photos.Claire's been back to see me twice since the wedding, once to give me her music choice for her DVD and second to sort her photo's as she would like all of them but can't find an album big enough.

Emma & Darren's Wedding, Waterton Park Hotel Wakefield

A wonderfull day for pictures high light cloud no wind no chance of rain. Late afternoon wedding, arrive at around 2pm for detail shots, hotel, wedding room, ribbons on bridge etc. Darren's in the bar , with best man and parents. Next, Bridesmaids and then wait for Emma to arrive in wedding car. In to the ceremony, and then confetti and over the bridge for group shots, personal photo's and finish off with cake cutting and room shots.

Back at night for dance and some nice outside shots in the dark to finnish off the day. Emma's just picked up her completed album!!

Kathryn & Robert, Cannon Hall

If you are worried about having photographs taken - read on ....

When Kathryn and Robert first came to see me Robert gave no indication that he was concerned about photos. An absolutely perfect couple, great location, and for a change wonderfull weather. So no problems , untill the camera was pointed at Rob. He then he confessed that he hated photos, could not smile, and had never had a good picture taken, OH DEAR!! now he tells me. Relax, Rob, trust me, but no time for lectures. This does go to show that if you are in the least concerned, take advantage of the free pre wedding photo shoot. Just act natural Rob, forget Iam here and I promise you will look good.

Well Iam pleased to say when they collected the pre view album Kathryn and Rob were over the moon, loved the shots, had an even bigger album then originally ordered, and even had a large framed print to hang. It was a pleasure to photograph there wedding, and Rob says he has some photos for the first time in his life he likes.

Amy & Gareth, Wateron Park Hotel

The summer has not been the best, but Iv'e been lucky so far!!. Amy's wedding day was really good, the day started with the bride getting ready, and then on to the church, to take Gareth arriving with his best man and ushers. Church was very pretty so some nice chocolate box looking shots that can be used as background for the reportage album. Allowed to take shots getting married, so things looking good so far. After the ceremony we took some groups before going to waterton park hotel. With good weather and waterton park pretty shots are assured, Groups and reportage photos followed and then finished with cake cutting before returning for some really classic night shots and colourfull dance one's A perfect wedding day.

Helen & John Paul, Waterton Park Hotel

Back to Waterton Park, and another nice day, Good Looking Couple again and a good day praise the lord. Started with Helen getting ready in hotel room, not at waterton park but St Pierre, I think the rooms were full at Waterton. A quick dash then to shoot John and guests arriving, before waiting for Helen. Normal shots during service, then confetti and straight on to do group photos. As always Waterton Park with good weather delivers the goods when getting personal shots, the only thing we have to be quick as they are not over generous with time slots. Finish with mock cake cutting before returning for night and dance shots.

Helen and Paul opted for the designer reportage album and they were very pleased with too!!! It did look good, in a ivory Gallery Album with Ivory overlays and silver edge pages.

John & Wendy, Salvation Army Leeds & Cedar Court Hotel

A wedding with a difference. The day started at Wendys house, shots of getting ready etc. Wendy is Dutch and the tradition is that the Groom arrives in the wedding car and knocks on her door for the bride. They then arrive for the ceremony together, and this was at the Salvation Army in Leeds. When John and Wendy arrived the band and singers were in full song and it sounded fantastic. The ceremony was full of song throughout and being both gifted musicians and singers themselves, John played the piano and Wendy sung. A different and entertaining service that I really enjoyed. The sun was shinning and they had an open top car. We stopped at Thornes Park for some personal shots and then on to Cedar Court for the group shots. Wendy said she could not have been happier and I had a good time too.
